Este año ha sido el despegue definitivo de una de nuestras bandas favoritas, Old Dominion. Este año no solo han girado en solitario, pasando por el C2C en marzo, y volviendo a Reino Unido hace unas semanas. También giraron con Kenny Chesney en su gira «Trip Around The Sun»
El año lo han culminado ganando el CMA a banda del año
Como ya hemos dicho varias veces, una de las bandas favoritas de CyC es Old Dominion, y hoy estamos de enhorabuena porque acaban de presentar la versión estudio de Make It Sweet, un tema que ya conocíamos porque habían tocado en directo, pero que hoy han subido a plataformas de «streaming y YouTube.
Anoche se entregaron en Las Vegas (Nevada, EEUU) los premios de la Academy of Country Music, en el regreso de la música country a la ciudad tras el tiroteó de 2017. Precisamente el tiroteo se produjo durante la actuación de Jasón Aldean, que ayer ganó su tercer Entertainer of the Year consecutivo.
La gala fue presentada por Reba.
Los otros grandes triunfadores de la noche fueron con dos premios Chris Stapleton (vocalista masculino y disco), Miranda Lambert (Vocalista femenina y canción) y Brothers Osborne (dúo y vídeo). Una de las sorpresas fue el premio a mejor grupo para Old Dominion.

La organización del Country2Country ha anunciado las dos ultimas presencias en el cartel de 2018 en Londres.
Una de las bandas favoritas de Carretera y Country desde sus inicios, Old Dominion, se une al cartel tanto en Londres como Glasgow y Dublín. También se une, pero solo en Londres, Ashley Campbell en un tributo especial a su padre Glen Campbell. Además en Londres se incorpora al llamado Spotlight Stage Morgan Evans.
El 27 de octubre Kenny Chesney publicará su nuevo álbum en directo Live in No Shoes Nation.
Según publica The Boot, en el disco participarán otras grandes estrellas como Eric Church, Old Dominion, Dave Mathews, Zac Brown Band o Taylor Swift.
